Wonderful vintage ticking with blue, cream, white, red and blue stripes. It is a strong European fabric made around 1950 of herringbone weave. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called “cutís” (from the French “coutil”)
It is made of medium weight cotton. Dense textile perfect for upholstery and interior design projects. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture

CONDITION
Good condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Original color. Some pale marks towards the middle. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Two pale 2-3 cm discoloration marks. One of them in the center and one on the side. The rest of the piece in fantastic old condition.
