Beautiful soft pink vintage ticking. It is a European damask fabric from around the 1900s. These pieces, recovered and freshly washed, were part of a mattress cover. These fabrics are cotton, strong weight and sturdy (but very soft!). Perfect textiles for small decorative projects, appliques, necessities, cushions, bags, etc. With a pattern of cherry blossom branches and fluttering swallows. Also in this fabric appear the oriental themes so fashionable Art Nouveau.

CONDITION
Excellent condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration throughout the piece. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Beautiful hand sewn back patches. One very pale mark in the upper right corner.
