Fantastic deep cobalt blue vintage ticking. This is a European damask fabric from around 1930-1940. This textile, reclaimed and freshly laundered, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is a soft cotton. It is light weight. Mixed pattern, large flowers, flowering trees, exotic birds, varied architectures such as pyramids, a castle, a rural house, etc. It is like a journey through many cultures.
ROSARIO SAYS: “This is my favorite fabric. Because of the pattern and also because of its softness and texture"

CONDITION
Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Original color. Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. Some small pea sized holes towards the bottom edge. Both selvages preserved intact. Very nice hand-moldable texture. Very large piece that can be very well used. No eyelets. A very rare find. Very light scuffs here and there and one pea size hole of about 1 cm towards one side. Overall it is in an excellent antique condition. A magnificent piece! It will be a pleasure to work with this fabric. Measures are approximate.
