Gorgeous vintage green and orange striped ticking with some thin white and blue stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has an elegant color scheme.

Excellent condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Original color. Slightly worn eyelets. One intact selvage. Very large piece that can be very well used. Selvage slightly deteriorated in one area. Fantastic piece, it will be a pleasure to work with.
