Gorgeous vintage ticking in light pink with a floral pattern of large white dahlias and exotic birds. It is a European damask fabric from around 1950. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is made of cotton. Dahlias and chrysanthemums appear in many motifs are a clear Japanese influence, in the fashion of 1900 in Europe. (Art Nouveau, Modernisme).

CONDITION
Distressed. Some prominent signs of wear: may have significant losses, fading or structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration throughout the piece. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. A significant tear towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Quite faded color throughout that contrasts with the color on the sides that is the original color. However, the resulting color over the years and washing is a delicious pink.
