Beautiful and elegant vintage gray and white striped ticking. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French, “coutil”) from the first half of the 1900s. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric.

ROSARIO SAYS: “It is somewhat flanneled on the inside, it has a certain resemblance to Nordic ticking.”

One minor tear in the upper right area but that does not affect the integrity of the piece. A worn piece but with a great value.
