Fantastic vintage ticking with blue and white checks and some red stripes. This is a durable European fabric manufactured in the early 1900s. In twill weave. It is made of medium weight cotton. It is a dense fabric perfect for upholstery and interior design projects.
ROSARIO SAYS: "Before jacquard looms revolutionized weaving, stripes and squares were used to form more or less complex geometric structures. Weavers have always looked for ways to make original, curious and different fabrics and have known how to take advantage of the resources of the techniques they had until now. That is why it is not surprising that similarity in terms of design, but not technique, with the old American quilts of the 1800s. "
