Wonderful vintage ticking in brick red. It is a European damask fabric from around 1940. With curious rhomboid garlands dotted with bouquets of flowers. This textile, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is made of strong cotton and at the same time extra soft. It is a resistant fabric with a beautiful drape. The sateen areas retain the brilliance of their origin.

Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Slightly worn eyelets. One intact selvage. Beautiful hand sewn back patches. Very nice hand-moldable texture. Specially soft fabric. The lower left corner is slightly irregular in shape.
