Wonderful vintage beige ticking ticking with beige stripes with thin pink and white stripes. It is a European twill called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This textile, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a very soft lightweight cotton fabric. The years give it a beautiful old-age patina. The herringbone weave reinforces the visual linearity.
