Delightful vintage ticking fabric of light blue and pink stripes with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a light to medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors. The spikelet has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture.
