Distressed. Some prominent signs of wear: may have significant losses, fading or structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration towards the top edge. Some pale marks throughout the piece. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. A significant tear towards the bottom edge. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. A Z-shaped tear of approx. 15x27cm in the central part. Otherwise in wonderful antique condition. Very large and usable. Not at all perfect, but with the imperfections inherent in these beautiful ancient textiles.
- Lovely mint green and pink striped vintage ticking fabric with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece was part of a wool mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone weave reinforces linearity.
