Wonderful antique ticking fabric with beige, red and white stripes. It is a European spikelet fabric called cutí (or in French, “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. The years give it a beautiful patina of old age. The herringbone weave reinforces visual linearity.

ROSARIO SAYS: This fabric still has a lot of “living to do.” Incredibly beautiful and rare!”
