Gorgeous vintage pink and laurel gray striped ticking with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European fabric of cuti twill (from the French “coutil”) from around 1950. This textile, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is light to medium weight cotton. It is a very cheerful fabric with a very bright strawberry red.

Excellent condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Original color. Minimal scuffing Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Very large piece that can be very well used. Slight minimally discolored area on one side. Fully usable piece. Dense, but soft and moldable textile. A fantastic piece.
