Swedish ticking in gray and red stripes. A wonderful antique ticking fabric from Sweden. The wide grey and red stripes make this fabric a special pattern. These antique mattress fabrics have a twill weave on the right side. On the reverse side it appears as a flat weave and somewhat matte. Very dense to hold feathers. Fabric in excellent condition for its color and texture. Ideal for upholstery. The pattern with the very wide and evenly sized stripes denotes its age.

CONDITION
Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. A few pale marks. Some minor scuffs. The width is formed by two long strips joined in the middle, which indicates that it was made on a narrow loom. Normally indicative of the antiquity of the textile. Overall the piece is excellent. Exceptional and extremely rare! It is as found, most fabulous indeed!
