Beautiful vintage ticking with mint green and orange stripes with some thin white stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors.

Excellent condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Original color. towards the side seams. Several pale age marks dotted around. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. Very large piece that can be very well used. A wonderful piece!
