Charming vintage ticking with mint green and pink stripes with some thin white and red lists. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (french "coutil") from around 1940. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It's a medium-weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors.

CONDITION
Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Color unevenly faded with time. towards the bottom edge. Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. A small tear towards the side seams. Slightly worn eyelets. One intact selvage. Not at all perfect but with the imperfections often present in these beautiful antique textiles.
