- Precious vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in an intense maroon color with a motif of large chrysanthemums and acanthus leaves. It is a European damask fabric manufactured around 1950 to make mattress covers. This fabric is unused. Very rare! A treasure of the last factories in the Mediterranean. It is made of medium weight cotton. Strong textile perfect for upholstery projects. The designs have a clear oriental influence. Very tasteful of the French Art Nouveau of the S XIX.
