Unused. Perfect condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Minimal pale storage or age marks towards the middle. Pale fading or storage discoloration in the center folding line. This fabric is unwashed and has the original sizing (starch). Selvages preserved intact.
CARE: We recommend dry-clean only to avoid color transfer.
- Cheerful vintage mattress fabric (ticking) with cream, white, red and blue stripes. It is a resistant European fabric made around 1950 of sateen weave. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called "cutí" (from the French "coutil"). This fabric is unused. Very rare! A treasure trove of the last Mediterranean factories. It is made of medium weight cotton. Dense textile perfect for upholstery and interior design projects.
