Distressed. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Original color. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. The fabric is firm and good but it has multiple, very small scuffs throughout the piece. Some more significant scuffs. A pea size hole to the side. Original color. If anything, a slight fading towards the sides. A large water stain towards one side. Not at all perfect but with the imperfections often present in these beautiful antique textiles.
- Beautiful vintage ticking fabric with beige and blue stripes and some thin white stripes. It is a European “cutí” (or in French “coutil”) twill fabric from around 1940. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is light-medium weight cotton. It has a delicious combination of colors.
