Distressed. Some prominent signs of wear: may have significant losses, fading or structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration Some pale marks towards the middle. Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. Some small pea sized holes towards the side seams. Both selvages preserved intact. Very large piece that can be very well used. No eyelets! But with the seams to hold the original tapes. See the photos. Despite all imperfections it is a unique fabric. Maybe not for everyone. Incredibly beautiful and rare!

  • Description
  • How To Shop
  • Wonderful vintage beige ticking fabric with red and white stripes. It is a European herringbone tissue called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. The years give it a beautiful old-age patina. The herringbone weave reinforces the visual linearity.

ROSARIO SAYS: This fabric still has a lot to “live”. Incredibly beautiful and rare! ”.
