Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Original color. Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. This panel is made up of two pieces sewn longitudinally by hand. A wonderful and authentic detail. See the photos. Not at all perfect, but with the imperfections inherent in these beautiful old textiles.
- Wonderful vintage beige ticking fabric with pink and white stripes. It is a European sateen fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. The years give it a beautiful patina of old age.
