Distressed. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Color unevenly faded with time. Some pale marks throughout the piece. Minimal scuffing towards the middle. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Not at all perfect but with the imperfections often present in these beautiful antique textiles.
- Lovely mint green and pink striped vintage ticking fabric with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece was part of a wool mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone weave reinforces linearity.
