    Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Minor color fading or discoloration Pale rust stains from the metal coils. towards the bottom edge. Minimal scuffing towards the middle. A small tear towards the side seams. Slightly worn eyelets. One intact selvage. A 65 cm high area without eyelets. Not at all perfect, but with the imperfections inherent in these beautiful antique textiles. A special texture, light but crunchy.

  • Lovely mint aqua green and pink striped vintage ticking fabric with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece was part of a wool mattress cover. It is a light-medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone weave reinforces linearity.
