Beautiful vintage ticking in green. It is a European damask fabric from around 1920. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is cotton, lightweight and extra soft! On a delicious damask fabric we see vegetable garlands, bouquets of roses and some friendly Cupids shoot their arrows. The white thread of the weft is neat and gives the fabric a special shine.

CONDITION
Fair condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration towards the side seams. One intact selvage. No eyelets. A very rare find. This panel is two pieces joined with a seam towards the middle. The cupid pattern is repeated several times. Exceptional!
