Delicious vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in vibrant red. It is a European damask fabric from around 1920. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is cotton, lightweight and extra soft! Perfect textile for decoration projects, cushions, bags, etc. Here we can see a set of Chinoiserie elements: A woman playing a shakuhachi flute, flowers such as lanterns, hanging lanterns, etc.

CONDITION
Good condition. Minor scuffs. Some pale marks. Several pea-sized holes throughout the piece. Slightly deteriorated eyelets. Otherwise, very large and usable. Color still perfect and very bright. Not at all perfect but with the imperfections inherent in these beautiful antique textiles. Delightful! Very soft and incredibly moldeable.
