Beautiful vintage ticking with light orange and gray stripes with some thin white stripes and dark blue. It is a European fabric of cuti twill (from the French “coutil”) from around 1950. This textile, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is light to medium weight cotton. It is a very cheerful and lively fabric.

CONDITION
#2 - Good condition. Ticking in very good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Original color. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. The most special back patches - so beautiful and rare! Gorgeous piece and very usable. Two pea-sized holes towards the side seams but that do not affect the integrity of the piece. The rest of the piece is perfect.
