Delicious vintage ticking fabric in a faded bubblegum pink. It is a European damask fabric from around 1920. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. Here we can see a set of Chinoiserie elements: A woman playing a shakuhachi flute, flowers such as lanterns, hanging lanterns, etc.

CONDITION
Ticking in good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Pale fading. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Some tiny pea sized holes towards the sides but that do not detract from the integrity of the piece. With the authentic hand-sewn eyelets. The faded areas give it an incredible patina of age. Exquisite!
