Beautiful vintage mattress fabric (ticking) with beige and blue stripes with thin lines in white and yellow. It is a European twill from around 1950. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. The herringbone weave reinforces visual linearity and at the same time makes it very consistent. A sober and cheerful fabric at the same time.
ROSARIO SAYS: “It's amazing how this herringbone has kept its texture firm and dense over the years”

CONDITION
Ticking in good condition. Dense and strong. This is a magnificent textile. Original color. The color of fabrics (REC-RA-BEIGE-006) F, G, and H is practically identical. Very few well-embroidered eyelets. On the back, they have a large fabric that supports the eyelets and with a light topstitching along the edge of this rectangle. Therefore, around the eyelets, there is no topstitching or band or patch marks. Beautiful pink selvedges. Panel #3 has one eyelet with a small tear and a scuff towards the middle, and the upper left corner is slightly irregular.
