Beautiful vintage ticking fabric with stripes in different shades of beige, brown, red, black and white. The years have given it a wonderful aged patina. It is a durable European fabric made around 1950 from herringbone weave. It is a medium weight cotton. The herringbone weave has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture, and it also makes it very consistent. A favorite.
ROSARIO SAYS: “An elegant combination of colors and widths of the stripes!!!"

The condition of this ticking fabric is fair with areas in very good condition. It has scuffs and wear scattered on the center area. Nice eyelets. Some pale marks. The pieces have a seam to one side that originally joined the two parts of the antique mattress. Not at all perfect but with the imperfections inherent of these beautiful antique textiles.
