Attractive very light grayish beige vintage ticking fabric with off-white stripes. This “Coutil” or “Toile à Matelas” is a French fabric from the first half of the 1900s. This piece was part of a mattress cover, we have recovered it so we can continue using the fabric. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. The herringbone weave reinforces visual linearity.

CONDITION
Ticking in good condition. Some minor scuffs and pin sized holes here and there. Pale fading. Some pale marks. But very few. Not perfect but with the imperfections inherent in these beautiful antique textiles. Timeworn beautiful.
