Gorgeous vintage green and orange striped ticking with some thin white and blue stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has an elegant color scheme.

CONDITION
#1 - Fair condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Original color. A significant tear towards the middle. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. Very large piece that can be very well used. A clean cut of about 30 cm towards the bottom. The rest of the piece is perfect. Despite the cut, it is a 100% usable piece. Fantastic!
