Antique Swedish ticking cover with stripes in grey and burgundy with narrow darker burgundy lists. It is very sturdy, medium weight linen (tow) and wool. Very large piece! Extremely rare. The cover has the original hand-made fabric pom-poms in the corners, a delicious old detail! The stripes are railroaded, meaning they go across the width of the fabric. The cover can be used as is or it could be reworked for projects.

MEASUREMENTS
This fabric is a whole cover of 132 × 177 cm. (51" × 69") on each side. The complete piece that could be achieved, if the cover is opened, is 132 × 354 cm. (51" × 138") as it's made like a sack.

CONDITION
Ticking in excellent condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Only minor scuffs. A few pale marks. It has no tears or color wear. The width is formed by two long strips, which indicates that it was made on a narrow loom. Normally indicative of the antiquity of the textile. Exceptional and extremely rare! It is as found, unwashed and unused condition, most fabulous indeed!
