Delicious soft Dijon yellow vintage ticking. It has an original design that occupies the entire face of the mattress as if it were a tapestry. with a large central rose window and four beautiful swans in the corners surrounded by bushes and wildflowers. It is a European damask fabric from the first half of the 1900s. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is medium cotton. Perfect textile for upholstery projects. In any case, the size and layout of the pattern must be taken into account. Exquisite and very rare!

CONDITION
Good condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Original color. Some pale marks towards the bottom edge. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Some small pea sized holes towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. With hand mendings. Very large piece that can be very well used. A small tear of about 2 cm in the lower area and several mendings towards one side. Despite the imperfections it is a unique fabric. Maybe not for everyone. Incredibly beautiful and rare!
