Gorgeous vintage ticking in light pink with a floral pattern of large white dahlias and exotic birds. It is a European damask fabric from around 1950. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is made of cotton. Dahlias and chrysanthemums appear in many motifs are a clear Japanese influence, in the fashion of 1900 in Europe. (Art Nouveau, Modernisme).

CONDITION
#1 - Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration throughout the piece. Moderate scuffing towards the top edge. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. Very large piece that can be very well used. The lower left corner is slightly irregular in shape.
#2 - Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Minor color fading or discoloration throughout the piece. Moderate scuffing towards the side seams. A significant tear towards the bottom edge. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Very large piece that can be very well used. The lower left corner is slightly irregular in shape.
