Delicious and rare vintage golden orange ticking. It is a European damask fabric from around 1930 or earlier. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is made of medium weight cotton. The extraordinary thing about This textile is the motif used. It has a very large pattern that reproduces a bird story, in one area the pair of birds keep the eggs in the nest and in the other area adult birds feed the chicks.

Some significant tears towards the side seams. Slightly worn eyelets. One intact selvage. Original back patches. Very nice hand-moldable texture. This textile has the scene of the nest and the chicks.
A collector's item! You can keep it in your treasure box and marvel at it from time to time or perfect to be framed and enjoyed every day.

This textile has the two scenes several times: the scene of the nest and the chicks and the scene of the nest with the eggs. A true luxury and pleasure! Despite the imperfections it is a unique fabric. Maybe not for everyone. Incredibly beautiful and rare!
