Wonderful vintage ticking beige with white stripes. It is a European satin fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from the first half of the 1900s. This textile, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. Herringbone weave reinforces visual linearity.

ROSARIO SAYS: "These beige and white tones are very much to the taste of French ticking"
