A gorgeous find! It is a vintage ticking that reproduces a geometric pattern in blues and whites. This is a durable European fabric manufactured in the early 1900s. In twill weave. It is made of medium weight cotton. This textile was part of a wool mattress cover. It is a dense fabric, the color dressed by time along with some mendings, make it perfect for interior design projects with a Rustic and Farmhouse air.

ROSARIO SAYS: "Before jacquard looms revolutionized the way of weaving, stripes and squares were used to form more or less complex geometric structures. Weavers have always looked for ways to make original, curious and different fabrics and have known how to take advantage of the resources of the techniques they had at all times. That is why it is not surprising that similarity in terms of design, but not technique, with the old American coverlets of the 1800s. "
