Antique Swedish ticking with wide cross bands, some plain brown and some with multiple stripes of vibrant green, lilac, various shades of red and even pink. It is a very durable medium weight cotton and wool fabric. It is a twill weave, the warp being white cotton and the weft being colored wool. The stripes are railroaded, meaning they go across the width of the fabric.

MEASUREMENTS
Ticking lot composed of 2 pieces:
#1 - 65 × 195 cm (26" × 77" / 2.13 yards)
#2 - 65 × 195 cm (26" × 77" / 2.13 yards)

CONDITION
#1 - Good condition. It has some scuffs here and there, and light wear, consistent with age and history. The very bright colors give great warmth to the weave. Exceptional and extremely rare especially for the size. Definitely a good find for upholstery projects where the fabric needs to be sturdy.
#2 - Good condition. It has some scuffs here and there, and light wear, consistent with age and history. The very bright colors give great warmth to the weave. Exceptional and extremely rare especially for the size. Definitely a good find for upholstery projects where the fabric needs to be sturdy. This piece has three very small cuts towards one of the sides, about 4 cm from the edge, although they do not detract from the use of the piece.
