Gorgeous vintage salmon pink timeworn ticking. It is a European damask fabric from around 1930-1940. With an original and curious oriental Chinoiserie motif. This textile, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is made of soft cotton and is light in weight. Mixed pattern, large flowers, flowering trees, exotic birds, varied architectures such as pyramids, a castle, a rural house, etc. It is like a journey through many cultures.
We also have this same motif in blue and green.

CONDITION
#1 - Fair condition. Moderate wear consistent with age and history. Color unevenly faded with time. towards the middle. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Some small pea sized holes towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. Beautiful hand sewn back patches. Very nice hand-moldable texture. Specially soft fabric. Several areas of fading or decoloration. Still, very large piece and usable. Lovely antique condition overall!
