Remarkable! Beautiful pure pink vintage ticking. It is a European damask fabric from around the 1900s. These pieces, recovered and freshly washed, were part of a mattress cover. These fabrics are cotton, strong weight and sturdy (but very soft!). Perfect textiles for small decorative projects, appliques, necessities, cushions, bags, etc. With a pattern of cherry blossom branches and fluttering swallows. Also in this fabric appear the oriental themes so fashionable Art Nouveau.

Ticking lot composed of 2 pieces:
#2 - 90 × 112 cm (36" × 45" / 1.25 yards)
#5 - 56 × 132 cm (23" × 52" / 1.44 yards)

CONDITION
#2 - Distressed. Some prominent signs of wear: may have significant losses, fading or structural issues. Color unevenly faded with time. Minimal scuffing throughout the piece. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Very nice hand-moldable texture. Specially soft fabric. Originally This textile was an intense bubblegum pink color. The sun has removed some of this vivacity, making areas lighter in an irregular shape. Despite all these imperfections it is a unique fabric. Maybe not for everyone. Incredibly beautiful and rare!
