Attractive and old beige ticking with red and cream stripes along with thinner multicolored ones. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from the early 1900s. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. The herringbone weave reinforces visual linearity.

ROSARIO SAYS: “This fabric still has a lot of “living to do.” I love the contrast between the red striped areas and the delicacy of the other cream colored area and thin stripes.”
