Original vintage ticking in red and white with a Versailles motif. It hides a story of romance among gardens. It is a European damask fabric from around 1930. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is heavy cotton. The designs recall the drawings and patterns of French fabrics such as the Toile de Jouy and the Indianas. It is especially smooth and shiny.
