Beautiful vintage ticking with wide red and taupe stripes and other very thin red and off-white stripes. The years have given it a wonderful old patina. It is a strong European fabric made around 1950 of satin (sateen) and herringbone weave. In the past these resistant fabrics for mattress covers were called "cutís" (from the French "coutil")
It is made of medium weight cotton. Dense textile perfect for upholstery and interior design projects. The herringbone has been used not only as a type of fabric but to reinforce the visual texture, it also makes it very consistent.
ROSARIO SAYS: “An elegant combination of colors and widths of the stripes !!!
