Lovely mint aqua green and pink striped vintage ticking with some thin white and red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (or in French “coutil”) from around 1940. This textile was part of a wool mattress cover. It is a light-medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors. The herringbone weave reinforces linearity.
ROSARIO SAYS: “This combination of colors and stripes was widely used at the time. We call it -Four pink stripes and one more-“
