Charming vintage ticking with mint green and pink stripes with some thin white and red lists. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (french "coutil") from around 1940. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It's a medium-weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors.

CONDITION
#1 - Excellent condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Pale fading.Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. Very nice hand-moldable texture. Very large piece that can be very well used. Two pea sized spots towards the middle. The lower right corner is irregular in shape. Selvages somewhat deteriorated by areas. Very soft fabric with a wonderful old patina. Exceptional!
