Beautiful vintage ticking with green and beige stripes with some thin white stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has an elegant color scheme.

#2 - Excellent condition. Minor wear consistent with age and history. Pale fading.Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. One intact selvage. Selvedges slightly deteriorated by areas, but they have a beautiful lilac color so I decided to leave them intact.
