Beautiful vintage ticking with green and beige stripes with some thin white stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This textile, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has an elegant color scheme.

CONDITION
#1 - Good condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Original color. Minimal scuffing towards the side seams. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. Both selvages preserved intact. With hand mendings. Very large piece that can be very well used. Beautiful authentic patches! See the photos. It has a tear towards the side and one of the eyelets is badly damaged.
