Lovely vintage ticking with white stripes and two shades of mint green. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This textile, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. It has a delicious combination of colors. Herringbone weave reinforces linearity. A fabric delight!
