Beautiful vintage mattress fabric (ticking) with green, gray and white stripes with some thin red stripes. It is a European twill fabric called cutí (from the French “coutil”) from around 1940. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. It is a medium weight cotton fabric. Perfect textile for decoration projects, cushions, bags, etc. It has an elegant color scheme.

CONDITION
Ticking in very good condition. Recovered piece, a few pale marks. Some scuffs but that do not detract from the integrity of the piece. Glorious for a long daybed or long tufted seats to take advantage of the eyelets. 23” - 43” wide pieces. Lovely fabric with lots of possibilities.
