Spectacular vintage red and white striped ticking. It is a European ticking “cutí” (from the French "coutil") from around 1950. This textile, recovered and freshly laundered, was part of a mattress cover. This ticking is a light to medium weight cotton. It is a very cheerful fabric with a vivid strawberry red, which has kept the color despite the years.
